Name day gifts: the name is the gift
A name day is the feast of the saint a person is named after, and in families that keep the tradition it is marked with a small gift. Since the whole occasion is about the name, the gift should carry it. Whishy 3D-prints personalised name pieces to order in Niel: keychains and fridge magnets from €6.99, freestanding initials from €12.99, door signs from €14.99 and text displays that can combine the name with the date.
The tradition is strongest in families with Polish, Greek, Hungarian, Czech or southern European roots, and in parts of Wallonia where the fête du prénom is still a thing; in Flanders it is rarer but coming back among grandparents. A name day gift is usually smaller than a birthday gift, which is why most of these pieces cost under €15.
You type the name exactly as it should appear, including accents, and choose the two colours.
- Name pieces from €6.99
- Accents and special characters printed as typed

Questions people ask
What is a name day and is it celebrated in Belgium?
A name day (naamfeest, fête du prénom) is the feast day of the saint who shares your first name. It is celebrated in many Catholic and Orthodox countries and, in Belgium, mainly in families with those roots and in some Walloon regions. The gift is typically small and personal.
Can you print names with accents, such as Zoë or François?
Yes. Type the name exactly as you want it, with accents, in the customisation box. The letters are printed as a raised layer, so accents are clearly readable.
What is a good name day gift under €10?
The Custom Name Keychain and the Custom Fridge Magnets, both €6.99, and the NFC Kids Safety Keychain at €8.99.
